Does it damage the grass?
Using the fire pit with the Stand lifts the fire pit 2.75" off the ground and the Stand minimizes heat transfer to the surface below.
If the fire pit has been left for an extended amount of time with the grass not being exposed to sunlight, it will cause the grass to die/discolor in that area. We recommend using a Stand when placing your fire pit on grass to provide enough space around the fire pit’s lower vent holes and to protect the health of your lawn. If you grass is tall and/or thick, it is possible your grass will still die even if using the Stand with your Solo Stove.
